I disagree with you that it is only a GUI change.  At a lower level, it is
much different than XP.  Most of which most people will ever know about or
see.

I had Vista's public beta or trial version for several months & while 
one can even take it back to Windows Classic I still don't like it. 
Why should some one pay money for an OS when it's little more than a 
GUI change as compared to XP ? It certainly not any faster. As for 
the improvement in the file manager they're no biggie as I've been 
using Total Commander as opposed to Windows Exploder for years. I 
certainly wouldn't upgrade XP to Vista & recently even when I had the 
chance to get Vista Business instead of XP Pro I said no thanks.

Sorry but no sale here.
