I disagree with you that it is only a GUI change. At a lower level, it is much different than XP. Most of which most people will ever know about or see.

As for the improvement in the file manager they're no biggie as I've been using Total Commander as opposed to Windows Exploder for years. I certainly wouldn't upgrade XP to Vista & recently even when I had the chance to get Vista Business instead of XP Pro I said no thanks.
