I am running vista ultimate right now on my gaming rig. It's slow
as shit, even copying files via network is slower, much slower.
I changed the UI to be like XP but games lag when they did not lag
before in XP. I have a core2duo 2.4Ghz, 2G ram, 10K Raptor and 8800 GTX.
The box should scream like it does in XP but alas it does not. The audio
subsystem in vista is an utter joke, thanks MSFT. Plese make DX10 available
for XP, vista should never have been released. UAC is a joke and to most
users annoying as hell. Aero is cool for about 5 minutes, thanks for worthless
eye candy. So what does Vista offer over XP besides DX10? Headaches and pain.
