Well, I've now done several things but the printer still hits the router
and generates the "Access denied to LAN system at mac addy 00:xx:....". And
it is regular at ~11 minutes. So, I've:
a) admin'd the router to disable access by the printer's print server by
its' mac addy.
b) disabled POP3/SMTP in the print server.
c) removed/reset the WINS server addy's in the print server to 0.0.0.0.
d) disabled the "mDNS" selection in the print server.
e) removed the routers 'gateway' IP addy and reset it to 0.0.0.0.
The printer's print server continues to hit the router. I will admit
complete noob for PC
printers and their various drivers. The last printer's I worked on all
connect to IBM
mainframes using 3211 channel protocols.
Suggestions welcome.
Best,
Duncan
