JRS,
Yes, way back when this router started out new with 192.168.0.1 out of the box. I changed its' ip addy to 10.0.0.1 about 2 hours after I got it to use on my home LAN is SoCal. It stayed this way up until 10/06 (and had relo'd to GA) when I again changed its' ip addy into the class C range using 192.168.1.1. Did this so the router could be spare once I re-ordained my LAN for the new xdsl service I now have here. However, it now does not answer to any of these 3 addy's. I suspect a pebcak typo back in 10-2006. Completely my fault this time.

I can admit to my own fat-fingered boo-boo back in 2006! Of course, it is possible that the router is just plain dead, though it does seem to boot up properly. This is not a life/death problem, but I really hate to toss it out "just because." It is fun sniffing and angry-scanning it. Got lots of time........ :)
Best,
Duncan
