JEDEC-standard, yes. Don't go over JEDEC standard 1.8v for DDR2 unless you like swapping out your memory when it dies every so often. > is there any reason I > want to pay the crazy price for DDR3? Thanks You seem to tend to stick with hardware for a while. You might still be on this hardware when DDR3 takes over, meaning that DDR2 may become more expensive when (and if) you ever bump up your memory. That's the only possible reason..there's certainly no meaningful performance advantage at this point. Greg
