JEDEC-standard, yes. Don't go over JEDEC standard 1.8v for DDR2 unless you
like swapping out your memory when it dies every so often.

OK Thanks, at this price for 4GB how could I loose. I always use Kingstone, or sometimes Crucial.... but Cosair has a great rep ... right?

You seem to tend to stick with hardware for a while.

I do, when I do upgrade I go at the very high end but I am interested more in name brand, features, and stability then I am bleeding edge performance. Actually, I need the PCI-Express slot right now, and I plan on holding off on the CPU and staying with my P4 3.4. I am going to get the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz LGA 775 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569QX9650 - Retail once the price gets down below a grand.

You might still be on
this hardware when DDR3 takes over, meaning that DDR2 may become more
expensive when (and if) you ever bump up your memory.

I will get 4GB now and run XP Pro so that shouldn't be a problem for me ....at this price I might even get 8GB should I decide to install Vista

That's the only
possible reason..there's certainly no meaningful performance advantage at
this point.
Greg

thanks for the help!
