Thanks for the reply Al. The 641 is really long. Nice card but don't know if XP is supported... Also, don't think it'll fit in my casing. Something like the LSI would work fine. Except I see that it is a single channel card. I read that mixing the external Ultrium tape drive which runs at Ultra 2 speeds on the same channel as the RAID array is a no no. Anyway, if you thought I was asking about PCI-X and PCI compatibility, I was not. I know that PCI-X cards work in PCI slots so long as the PCI slot is keyed for 3.3V. What I was asking is if a 3 x 10k.7 RAID 0 array would saturate the normal PCI bus and if indeed it does, would I be better off to use a U160 RAID card which is very much cheaper... Jason
