I have acquired a collection of UPSs over the years. APC, Belkin,
Eveready, and some brand that is so obscure I can never remember
it..... but it has lasted 13 years! I have bought UPS on price and
best deal, and I haven't been burned yet.
, the one big advantage to a APC or a Belkin is warranty... if
something goes wrong, no problem getting a replacement, or knowing
that their damage protection warranty means something. And I will
admit that if I was running something mission critical, like a Reef
Aquarium, I would use APC. But assuming you are primarily interested
in surge, and battery backup for in home general PC use I would get
the best on sale rebate deal you can find, and don't worry about the brand.

Hey,
My old APC Back-UPS Pro's battery finally died. I run my monitor, router,
and a few other pc related items off of it and I have an APC Back-UPS 1000
for my PC and external drive.
I was looking around at Newegg, Frys, ZipZoomFly and Amazon for a
replacement. On Amazon, I came across this CyberPower UPS:

I do not know anything about this brand of UPS. What do you all think? If
nothing else, it sure looks cool.
Here are a couple of others I was looking at, if you care to look:

I do not really want to spend over $150, but I want something decent that
will last a bit during a power outage.
Thanks,
