Thanks for all of the suggestions. I had looked at APC for new batteries, but they wanted about $70. I had figured I might as well get a new unit if the battery is that much. I'll look around locally (didn't think about that) and check out some of the places that were mentioned is your responses.
One question. Do the surge suppression parts in a UPS wear like those in a surge suppressor do? If so, I'm thinking it might be time to replace the unit anyway. I have had it for about 7 years or so and once had the batteries replaced in it under warranty when it puffed up. Thanks, Bobby
