Surprising DSL signals go through surge suppressor filters without issues but I guess modern UPS' noise filters take into consideration DSL signals. I'd also be using a Ethernet LAN surge suppressor between modem & router.

Got cable broadband years ago & decided CATV line protection devices designed without digital cable in mind cause issues, so I invested in Ethernet LAN surge suppressor between the modem & router rather than chance CATV signal issues. Probably outdated thinking 10 years later but did the same when forced to adapt to 3mb DSL being only viable option here in bumble-frakk north-eastern WA, figured I care more about my equipment than Verizons and wanted no additional DSL signal issues! ;)

Protection for power, data, etc... in addition to distribution & control is among the my numerous concerns as I dream up the wiring for our home renovation. Hoping FiOS makes it here in a year or two, a man can hope even if it's sheer delusion...

Well, guess what? This trouble rests mostly with me!
