Hey,
One of my daughter's friends has a laptop (not sure of model, but it is several years old) that will not come out of hibernation by pressing the power button. The laptop originally had Windows ME on it and it did the same thing with that OS. It currently has XP Pro on it. It sounds to me like either the power button is not connected properly or that something in the BIOS may not be set up correctly. Either that or there is a problem with the power button itself. What do you all think could be the issue? Thanks, Bobby
