j.,
Let's just say I can be just as extreme in my views as you are in your views.
I read nothing in any printed matter that came with the card that specified XP or
Vista only. That's why I asked the collective.
I'm still learning. If I am bone-headed, so be it.

OMG, what one does the other does, neither company supports EOL Win2K for quite a while now.

At least my only reason for not using NV is based on hardware limits, you guys throw out the "use NV" and "that's why I avoid ATI" as a knee-jerk reaction!

Duncan you're right up there with them going to the extreme assumption that Vista 64 is the only OS with drivers for this card or that NV will have an option ATI does not!

JB,
Yes, perhaps this might be part of this current kurfuffle.
Fine. I can accept this; but, I will not be driven by a video card mfg to
an OS upgrade to Vista just to play with the card! That just suckx in my book. The folks that play Vista and live happy, fine. I salute you. Live well and prosper!
I've lived through the past 3 years of bitching about Vista. I choose NO!
I live with w2kproSP4 and XPproSP3. If ATI does not care for this, I have a
fall back plan. It is called nVidia!

um, ATI.com doesn't appear to _have_ drivers for Windows 2000 for the
