Harry,
I do understand this new rush toward massive amounts of installed memory.
For those folk that need these huge arrays, fine. I have been living happily with
either 1GB or 512MB per machine for years and have never seen a single glitch.
But, I do not plot weather, track satellites or hurricanes, or do any VE work!
The new machines all have 2GB of memory. If that is not enough, I will back up
and review just what I am doing. LOL!
Thanks,
Duncan

I will take XP almost any time over Vista, but we are running into a
serious issue with 3.5GB of usable memory in XP.

Many consulting customers would lover to go with 8GB of memory, but
until their major apps are 64 bit, and they are willing to deal with
vista they cant.

Myself, I use either OSX or linux for most things, and am putting 8 gb
of memory in my new mythbox, that will also run some vmware server
virtual machines. (and the XP ones will have <3GB memory assigned to them).
