I just do not know ATM. I can wait for Greg to chime in on this one.
It could well be the EPM-6 engine thingy of the m/b. I did sit and watch
the new tool for several minutes, and, there were several times the CPU
speed jumped to 3.0GHz for a short spike and then back to ~2.0GHZ.
As I said, this is not a big deal. The new machines are much quicker
overall now.

Now, I get to research why my new E8400's seem to loaf along at only 2.0GHz
instead of 3.0GHz. Not really a problem because otherwise these machines
"feel like" they are visually quicker that the previous AMD Barton 2500+
cpus. Very happy with this upgrade.
