Update.
So far we've replaced the video card because some of the pins on the DVI
connector were smashed .
Problem now may be trying to find the right combination of video drivers
for the X1300 and WINXP SP2.
There's another guy with the SAME hardware, WINXP sp and ATI drivers
configuration as mine - dual monitors works on his, still doesn't work
in dual mode on mine.

Be sure to have latest Catalyst package installed and to make the
monitor selection in CCC.
Forget dual desktop, try & see if you can get single desktop on each
monitor (1 at a time, swap) and then figure out what's wrong with dual
in extend desktop mode.

deal w/both DVI connectors AND multi panels/monitors. Then, there

Just my simple share. I am so far out of touch w/modern video cards,
I can already hear the peals of laughter from the Collective. It's
OK. I'm old school............. :)

The X1300 has a single DVI connector, but with a Y-splitter, I
should be able to have two DVI cables or two VGA cables - one to
each monitor - depending on which splitter I use. I want to use dual
DVI, but problem is, I can only get one monitor to turn on when I
try to extend the desktop. Whatever the magic combination of
drivers, cables and configuration switches is, I haven't been able
to figure it out.
My intention is to run both monitors at native LCD resolution
(1680x1050).
