Bobby,
went and looked. Newegg shows this item as "deactivated." Also, it only
shows a 50% "happy" rating. OK, was really looking for a white/beige face
too............. :)
Yes, in the old days I too was a Plextor fan-boy! But, that was back in my
scsi-days!
Thanks,
Duncan

I used to always use Plextor. But my last several drives have been Lite-On.
I just finished my new build this w/e and I have 2 Lite-On DVD (bought last
summer) writers in it.

Subject: [H] DVD/CD Burner-SATA ?
Looking for opinions/suggestions for SATA DVD/CD burner devices.
Have several PATA devices I would like to retire as spares for my remaining
2 Pata machines.
Not too happy with the SATA/PATA converters I have; would like to toss them
out and go straight SATA.
I do understand the 1.5Gbit/3.0Gbit differences, but do not think this is
an issue ATM.
Blinding speed is not required; reliability and/or general quality is.
I need 3.
Thanks,
Duncan
