no, and I know it works because I tried it in another computer. Yes there is another onboard PROMISE368 RAID controller but that shouldn't matter. I tried to flash the TX2's BIOS and flash didn't recognize the card. All this led me to believe there is some kind of BIOS conflict although I don't understand how the card is seen by the BIOS and the drive that is connected to it is found and then the TX2 BIOS loads but Windows doesn't accept the correct drivers and the flash doesn't see it.
However, I got tired of playing with it so I stuck another PROMISE card I have = SATA150 TX4 RAID controller and that works just fine as a 4 port controller. Thanks for the feedback.
