Yeah, Intel has been in the news a lot lately and their poor decisions
are costing them dearly. Japan, Korea and now the EU have concluded that
they are anti-competitive. Next year I believe AMD will get their shot
in court and I predict that Intel will again be held accountable.
Imagine all the money that AMD lost over the past 5 years because of
Intel's bribes to PC makers. Beginning to look like the GM of the
semiconductor world minus the threat of bankruptcy of course.

The point behind W7's XPM is for Line of Business (LOB) apps at

For that, it should work wonderfully.
I do find it entertaining that Intel has been forced to go back and add VT
to a bunch of their lower-end chip lines (like the Pentium Dual-Core), since
those are fairly popular in your run-of-the-mill business PC. I always hated
that they used VT as a product differentiator.

Well I'm still new to it but XP mode won't work with Furmark or Crisis
because of 3D acceleration issues. Furmark won't load at all and forces
me to reboot to get my desktop back and Crisis has large black streaks
running vertically down from the top of the screen. Good idea though.

Have you tried the software with the XP compatibility mode they have
included with W7? You have to download it as an extra, but it is
effectively
a XP Virtual Machine specifically for problem applications that
didn't like
Vista, and won't like W7.

I started to download it that way but failed to find a clean copy.
Since
then I have downloaded the official version and installed it on my
game
box. Unfortunately, its less compatible than Vista with the software
I
use but works better and faster. I really like it because of the
improvements to the UI and it seems much faster especially boot
speed.

Anyone using Windows 7 they got from a Torrent? Looks like the most
common torrents for it had a built in botnet.
