I down loaded the UBUNTU 9.4 from the web.
Then i made a cd of it.
Then I tried installing from the CD.
My take is the the download is corrupt.
Therefore does not install.
I tried the CD in a different computer and it is not recognized there.
I will wait till the CD comes in the mail and try again then.

I thought I would get my feet wet.
So I tried installing UBUNTU on a spare computer as a windows
program, which is one of the choices.
It spent about a 1/2 hour installing.
I did things on my main puter.
When I checked back, there was no Ubuntu installed.
ZIP! There is nothing on the hard drive.
Partition Magic reveals no new Linux partitions.
No new programs.
Do you have any idea how to run UBUNTU?
I am completely amazed!
