Speaking of enterprise grade switches. Do enterprise grade access points also 
exhibit such dramatic improvements?

You just shared a magic thingy! VOiP!!! I do not do this. Did not do it 
when I made my 'switch upgrade' decision. This may be a very good reason 
for our different choices.
Certainly I am more LAN feature-less that most on our List. Fine.
