Indeed VoIP increased the need for an expensive switch. Had to have PoE and VLAN QoS all sorts of stuff that we didn't need before the new phone system. VoIP is nice when it works (which is usually) but my job was a lot less complex before when I didn't have to manage the phones too. :P
