Right now my work has a Netopia 22447 NWGrouter installed for a DSL access. My boss keeps telling me to strengthen the security on the router. Well, the password was changed and wireless is turned off. There is not much moreI can do, that I know of.1. Would an additional Router added to the line between the Netopia and Network switches increase security without slowing down internet traffic? If it is a viable solution, which router should I get? 3. Make a Linux Box using Unbuntu and a Router between the Netopia and Network switches? Let me know what you all think,
At the very least be using a router with Syslog & ipfilters setup so you can log what
is going on.
