Yes but it will take many developers and several years before they can
compete. Dudes at Mozilla are pretty smart and made good use of the
money they receive every year from Google. They have a serious lead on
everybody else and many experienced developers. There must be thousands
of Add-ons and Themes that can be downloaded.

I've heard that Google is working on some form of Chrome addon/plugin
