On my home LAN I have two main machines, one my desktop and one the HTPC,
both running Win 7 beta. Just in the last couple of days I've noticed a
problem where my desktop loses write access to a shared drive on the HTPC.
I keep all my audio and video files on the HTPC, so when iTunes on my
desktop downloads podcasts and such it stores them over the LAN on a shared
drive of the HTPC.

This setup has been working perfectly fine for the last few months, but all
of a sudden it's broken. The deskop can see the shared drive and has write
access to everything but that one folder where I keep my audio files.
Somehow it is getting marked ready only. If I go into the HTPC and right
click on the folder properties, the read only box is checked. But if I
clear that and hit apply, it doesn't take - folder is still marked read
only.

I don't think it's a permissions issue as such, since I can access all the
other folders. It just seems to be something weird where a program or maybe
Windows is somehow marking that folder read-only.

Thoughts?
