Also don't forget that there are some TVs and content devices that require HDCP over HDMI for HD content.

Without that they either don't output or down rez to 480i.

Don't know if there are dvi-hdmi that don't work to widescreen but since I buy all my cables from monoprice, haven't had any issues with the dvi-hdmi
cable I have now. Used it in:

1. PC (DVI) to A/V Receiver (HDMI) to TV (HDMI)
2. PC (DVI) to Monitor (HDMI)

Steve,

You might try, if you haven't already, try monoprice.com as they may have
some more answers and should have the cables you are looking for.

Okay, then there's the obvious question: Are there DVI - HDMI cables
that won't work PC to Widescreen?

Okay, I've been reading on the web and this has got me confused. Are
there any real adapters that can take the output from an NVIDIA video card and connect to the HDMI input of my widescreen TV? The audio can
have an alternate route, that's no problem, I'm just wondering about
the video. Or is there an interface that can do both audio and video
from an NVIDIA video card to HDMI for TV?

I've seen a bunch of stuff that says yes and a lot of stuff that says
no. Just beginning to look at products, but most of them will not
tell you what they work with, just that they are DVI to HDMI adapters.

Thanks...Steve
