I just kept what I had, which is the basic overpriced service. They claim they give 12MB with the basic one, but I've never seen it, and don't know anyone who has except one guy in California who is in one of my vets groups. He, also, has the basic service(first level, I guess). He has Comcast's rental modem, which is ver. 3.0.
