Bought one a few months back and replaced the HD on my laptop (T61) and
installed Win7 Ent; it's freaking amazing how fast things are now (like
startup, or shutdown, or loading stuff once you log in). Wouldn't go back for
anything now!! My roommate dropped ~$450 for the 160GB (for his Dell XPS
laptop using XP) a few months before that, and is having the same
experience...though if he doesn't have Win7 and TRIM is he going to start
having issues...? Hmm, hadn't thought of that when I talked him into getting
it! :P

So I paid $220 back then; $200 is a great price now. And I don't expect the
SSD to last that long-but the amount of time I've saving over just the next 2
years will more than justify the cost (and responsiveness too), such that I can
easily upgrade to a much bigger drive then (~2 yrs from now) and be totally
happy with what I got! It really is the most significant PC upgrade I've seen
in a long time. Of course I'm using Win7 Ent 64-bit with Office 64-bit and
things like Outlook (the main program I use everyday) might run faster due to
the 64-bit stuff, but the SSD makes a big difference with that and lots of
other stuff...

But that's JM2C on the subject... :P
