[H] Interesting problem with Hosts file

Here's an odd one.  I have a hosts file that I can't delete (it's 
clearly malicious since I can look at it) but it's SHR and attrib 
won't touch it.  So I boot in BartPE and attrib gives the same 
problem.  Now I've never seen a file that I couldn't take control of 
in BartPE.  I was able to rename the ETC folder which took it out of 
play, but I'm still wondering about it - anyone have any ideas?
