So I am pricing/deciding on 3 new machines! Time to move past C2D.
I will do aCore i5 processor - not decided yet!
I may do an Asus P8Z77-? m/b.
This buy is for clients for the next 4 years!
But, I still want to retain my very old PS/2 User I/O interconnect.
So,
I found these 'adapters' I might use to convert PS/2 to USB (V1/V1.1, I
believe).

I am still looking, but these 3 seem to fit the bill, and, are from the
egg. The Egg is good!
I have seen some of these that have a block in between the connectors.
No idea what the
block contains. I suppose some circuitry. Just do not know!
Yes, my current MS Mice all have USB (w/adapter for PS/2), but their
cords are not long
enough; hence my old SwitchView KVMs (PS/2 and D-Sub VGA).
Yes, my old kbds are PS/2 ONLY. NO! I do not plan to buy new kbds!
Here is my dilemma. Should I choose to use any of these 'adapters,' will
I loose mouse/kbd
action when I raise the UEFI BIOS and/or an 'F8 Safe Mode' OS restart??????
I thought that USB only came active with the OS (W7) load......... :(
I move forward anyway. Any m/b I buy will still have a VGA video
connector! I am so not ready
to do DVI yet; even though all my panels (3) and video cards do DVI
natively.
JUST another future project.
Opinions, Suggestions, bitches welcome!
