Pretty much, unless you score a hex-core Westmere for cheap on
Craigslist or some such
(got a 980X for $175 on the Dallas CL a couple of months ago -
flipped that baby to finance two Haswell builds :P )
The real problem will be Broadwell - it's supposedly BGA only, so
it's like a double-whammy from Intel given that
Haswell is not all that impressive for a tock, and the next shot
enthusiasts will supposedly have is Skylake.
