Thanks for the info. I certainly didn't even know it was a nic delivery system. I thought it was a totally safe substitute (not saying it isn't safe, but apparently there are some unknowns and nic is addictive).

I don't like the term "vaping" though. I think that very term is going to turn some away from it even though this action may be much better than smoking. This sounds rather newfangled and another potential money grab. Rob peter to pay paul, kind of thing. No skin off my back, though.

This is going to be a long post so sit tight.

Vaping is short for vaporizing. Vaping and e-cigs can be used
interchangeably in most cases. e-cigs have basically been around for a few
years now but have picked up recently like wildfire.

An e-cig is basically a battery with an atomization device that atomizes
the liquid which is called e-juice or e-liquid or nic liquid or nic juice.
e-liquid is either 100% Propelyene Glycol or 100% Vegetable Glycerin or a
blend of the 2 liquids in various ratios. In addition there is flavoring
(which is used by the baking/candy industry) as well as nicotine. For
example what I vape is usually fruity flavors in a 50/50 PG/VG blend.

Now before we go any further, I just want to say that all the ingredients
by themselves are all safe. PG and VG is classified as GRAS (Generally
Recognized as Safe) by the FDA. The flavoring is used in the food industry
so that's safe also, and as far as the nicotine is concerned. I have my
feelings about nic, but it is what it is. The biggest issue with the
vaping industry is that there have been no long term tests done by any
medical body on the long term effects of inhalation of PG and VG. I have
been vaping for 2 years and there have been 0 side effects, but that
doesn't mean that it's 100% safe. Vaping is just too new and nobody really
knows for a fact what the long term (i.e. 20+ year range) effects are.

That being said, yes, vaping in essence is a nicotine delivery system. It
emulates smoking by giving you the vapor to breathe in and blow out, blow
o-rings and whatever you used to do while smoking. So for a person who is
addicted to nicotine, vaping is a great alternative to get his/her nic-fix
without all the carcinogens that are produced by burning plant matter (i.e.
tobacco).

One more thing and a pleasant side effect of vaping is that PG is an
antibacterial agent. In fact before HEPA filters were invented, hospitals
used to pipe PG thorough their ventilation systems to kill bacteria and
keep the air in the hospitals clean. I have found that since I have
started vaping I don't get sick very much, and when I do, it's very mild
and goes away quickly.

Vaping is really the future and I think there is too much ill feelings
towards vaping because of misinformation. Not to mention that the tobacco
industry which is a multi trillion dollar industry worldwide is feeling
scared of this new and upcoming phenomenon. They aren't going to give up
their old ways so quickly. That said, RJ Reynolds has released it's own
e-cig which was met with bad reviews. Seems they need to do some work.

Currently in the USA there is a big issue about vaping. In the end it is
nicotine which is an addictive substance. People are scared that children
could get hooked, which is a valid concern. That said, they are trying to
regulate it in a stupid fashion. There is so much chaos right now that it
would take several hundred paragraphs to explain, so I suggest doing your
own research.

Anyway, long story short, if anyone is interested in vaping, contact me and
I'll help out the best I can. If you are a smoker, I suggest quit and
start vaping, you will notice your health improve in as quick as 3-6
months. And I mean a drastic improvement.

Peace out guys!

It's still a nicotine delivery system, correct?
Please don't get me wrong; I'm not judging you. I don't think the State
or anyone else should tell you what you can do with your body.

Am I right in thinking that nicotine (as is delivered by cigarettes) is
less damaging than all the other crap in cigarettes?
