There has been no information on second hand effects. In fact one guy had a pet parrot who sat near him while he vaped. Story goes that he took the parrot to the vet after a year to see if the parrot had any signs of nicotine or lung damage or whatever (since birds are highly susceptible to such things) and the parrot got a clean bill of health.
But again, not much concrete info is out there. Just anecdotal evidence.
