Been running my Netgear bridge in my shop with a 4 port switch on my
bench. Rarely have more then two systems at a time though these days.
Bridge is a Netgear WNHDE111. Has been flawless for almost 3 years.
The bridge is starting to act up, had to re boot it a couple of time
in he last week. My options are dig a trench and hard wire the shop
or powerline networking.
I know there are a few on the list who have messed with this. Looking
at the Netgear powerline 500 series, possibly the pass though ones.
Can I assume I can plug this into a existing switch ? are the units
available separately, might want to add my sons system in his room
which is now just WIFY.
Suggestions, recommendations appreciated. I guess as long as the
bridge holds up is not a big deal just trying to be prepared. Do not
really care to dig a trench. :-( They seem cheap enough.
