I am helping a good friend with his laptop. He needs a bigger hard drive. This is primarily a business hard drive so reliability and data safety is of utmost important. I wouldn't buy anything but a WD, Black Edition. I see a lot of computers, and Seagates are iffy (well, all HDs are iffy, but I wouldn't trust my data on a Seagate).
I know that WD is bringing out a hybrid of some sort. I haven't tried it, and with no track record, any of these drives are a bit of crap shoot. That being said, I'd be willing to chance it, just for the speed increase.
