I struggle with this, too. For me, PPI is the most important factor, but
more is not always better. Scaling is still something of a crapshoot on
Windows IMO, so I want the native resolution PPI to be something in a
reasonable range where text looks crisp, but I can still see it without
scaling. For that reason, I purchased 27" WQHD (2560x1440) IPS or PLS
displays both at home (2x) and at work (3x), but recently I've been feeling
the itch for an upgrade.

Do you watch any video/movies on your monitor? If so, the new big thing
(excluding variable frame rate for gaming, of course) is HDR for PCs.

I know the above isn't much help, but it's all I got. I will say that the
best resource that I use when making monitor selections is tftcentral.co.uk.
They have top-notch reviews and an excellent panel database. As far as I'm
concerned, if they give something a good rating, you can take it to the
bank.

Subject: [H] Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 4K

Hey Greg,
My old 30inch X3000 is dying so I need a new large monitor but the variety
has confused me. I am not a gamer and I am thinking of getting one or more
of these proffesional Dells = Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 4K Monitor with
PremierColor - UP3216Q They ain't cheap for the times...I see lots of huge
monitors selling for far far less..which give me pause. Any thoughts on
this?
