I have a 8 year old TP-Link gigabit router on my home./office LAN
that works just fine. I don't use it for wifi...I have wifi
disabled. I use a Ubiquiti Unifi AC-pro for wifi. I wasn't looking
to replace the TP-Link router but I see Newegg has deal on
a Ubiquiti Networks ER-X-SFP-US Advanced Gigabit Router with PoE and
SFP. Other then the fact that it would match up with my wifi
hardware, and it will come with up to date firmware which may or may
not have better security...do I really need it? Are there other
benefits I am not seeing? I need a SysAdmin's advice!
