Hey all, I finally went back to my roots and got a new desktop gaming PC...model Aegis R2 B14NUG9-833US
https://us.msi.com/Desktop/Aegis-R2-14th/Specification Third column over for my model that I got the last one of from Costco at a nice discount ($2400 marked down from $2600), with the extra third year warranty for another $100...basically complete peace of mind having 3 years warranty, which is why I bought it from Costco! So the system comes with Windows 11 Home and I want Pro. Now I'm going to replace the SSD it came with, a basic 2TB Kingston with a much better 4TB Samsung 990 Pro w/ heatsink that's coming tonite. So is there a way for me to use/keep the Windows 11 install that came on the drive with the system and *move* it-or at least the license-to the new blank drive so I don't have to pay again for Windows 11? I know that I can buy the upgrade license from Home to Pro-looks like it's $100 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Windows-Upgrade-Home-Digital-Download/dp/B09WCTTXQ6 and worst comes to worst, I'll just buy a totally new Windows 11 Pro License, which looks like it's $200 from MS as per: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d/windows-11-pro/dg7gmgf0d8h4 But I figured I'd try and save some cash and get some use out of the fact that the system already came with Windows 11 Home-if I can easily somehow get that license to the new clean Win 11 install I'm gonna do on the SSD-and I assume I'll have to install Win 11 Home first, and then buy the upgrade key for $100 and upgrade it that way, right? TIA for the help! BINO
