Hey, Not sure what your problem is but I have a Rosewill external case with an 1TB WD Black in it on a Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit system and have not had any problems. I am using an Asus P6T-Deluxe V2 MB.

I have not tried the USB2 as I am trying to use the ESATA. I am using a new 1 meter ESATA cable plugged into a ASUS Maximus II formula motherboard ESATA port. I set this up when the power was off. I then powered up the PC and the Fantom drive appears correctly in Windows 7 PRO. I attempted to copy a number of folders with around 100GB of video to the drive but after about 10 percent copied the Fantom drive disappeared and I was forced to abort the copy. I shut down, let it sit powered off for a while and then started things back up. The Fantom drive was right where it should be but no folders or files showed on the drive. I copied a few small folders with no problems. Then I let it sit like that overnight and in the morning everything was as it should be. So I attempted to copy a folder with 418 GB of video in it to the ESATA drive. After a short time the Fantom drive disappeared and I had a message that around 15 percent of the folder had been copied and the drive was no longer available... again I had to abort. The drive is still not showing but I assume it will appear after a shutdown. Having no experience with ESATA I am unsure of where the problem lies,... the ESATA port on the ASUS board, Windows 7, or the new Fantom drive?
