I suspect cable fault? Too long? Or perhaps try and get the latest
Marvell SATA driver?

I was thinking if it was possible to switch the internal SATA port
connecting the eSATA (which is Marvell chipset) to the one of the 6 SATA
ports by Intel... But I believe Asus' eSATA implementation is not like
Gigabyte's where an external bracket is provided and you get to choose where
your eSATA port hooks up to.
