Anthony,
"MiniMe" has responded. He seems to be the current ATI guru (sponsor). I
do so wish I had a magic bullet for you. I do not.
I am testing ATI video cards. I started in 2009. Personally, I find ATI
drivers, and, the other "shell" ATI proggy's difficult to live with. I
run my ATI card as Driver Only.
I have one last ATI video card (HD4650). One day (very soon) it will
get de-installed. I will put an old nVidia EN9600GT back in.
Based on what I've read about your current circumstance, I would look at:
Your PSU
Your m/b BIOS settings
Your m/b internal logic (a failure?)
Something in your current RAM (but I know you are there now!)
Network stuff that has/demands total/full PC access.
HTH.
Best of the Season,
Duncan

Thanks, Joe.
Sadly, the system now seems to be experiences random lockups and
reboots. The frequent is erratic, though. This mostly happens when I
am away from the PC. So far.

Hello Anthony,
I wish you the best of luck on this mess, because I'm sure most of us
can say - 'Been there - Done that'.

Ok....I live in Weirdville. Just keep that in mind.
I reported on 12/7/2010 that Memtest found bad ram...and was willing to
accept that as the problem with my Sapphire ATI 5770 card.
