never used a toshiba. however, just a couple notes: 1. Airline power outlets dislike anything more than 65W power adapters, either that or the HP notebooks I use are pure crap (partially true), am currently on the Elitebook series, which are durable but lacks a backlit keyboard (USB 3 support is great, however)
2. thumbprint scanner must work well for you, my hands are perpetually dry, i gave up on the fingerprint scanner a while back. 3. I like notebooks with expandable battery slots (not the large 9/12 cell types, but those with 6 + 9 or 6 + 6 options) - that way, I can always attach the extra battery pack only when traveling. weight is always a consideration but i tend to prioritize other features so the notebook always ends up being in the 5-6lb range anyways, without extended battery. am moving back to a MBP 15 soon, running VMs to see if it'll make any difference.
