Hey guys,
So I'm going to be on a Caribbean cruise starting Sun ( http://www.jococruisecrazy - you all know I'm a big geek right?!) and I wanted to get some more space to store pics from the cruise on my laptop (Lenovo T61 model 6457-6DU) before I left. I've got a 80 GB Intel G2 SSD as my boot drive, and it's almost full, and I've got a 120GB 2.5" drive in a USB enclosure I've been using to store extra stuff, but that's almost full too now!

So I ordered a 500GB WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm 2.5" drive to put in my T61's Ultrabay with the ThinkPad Serial ATA HD Bay Adapter (which I've used before on this laptop with that 120GB HD in fact!) which you can see at: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-61161.html The issue I'm having is that I put the WD 500GB drive into the Adapter, stuck it in my bay, and then I get a Windows needs to initialize this disk message. So I go into Computer, Manage, and Disk Mgmt, and then I can see the disk though it shows as Disk 1 (the SSD is Disk 0), Unknown, and it shows as size 268440017.82GB (weird # right?) and Not Initialized on the left, and then it has the same size again and Unallocated where you can partition it... When I try and right-click on the left part, I get the Initialize on the right-click menu, but selecting that didn't do anything the first two times. Just tired it again and it's hung/waiting with the spinning circle...ok it just errored out after 5-10 mins and gave me an error message about the Disk Mgmt Console not being up-to-date or something...

So, any thoughts? Going to goggle to see what the issue might be but it's slow going and I need to get this working before tmrw afternoon or I won't have time as I fly out to FTL on Sat! Thanks for any help guys!!
