I was considering a Gigabyte at the same price. I do see some
additional features too. and additional PCI-e at x4, plue firewire and
the usb 3.0 bracket. Those are "hard" features.
Advance replacement means they send you a replacement mobo secured with
CC and then you return the bad one?

Butting in here. I switched from AOpen to Asus four-five years ago
(man time goes by quickly) and I've been very pleased with the quality
and reliability of these boards as well as Asus' service level - first
motherboard manufacturer I've dealt with that does an advance
replacement.
