Thane,
I do so recall when you were a strong AOpen supporter. I bought a pair of AOpen m/b's on your recc. Both boards ran for years, and, were retired for Asus boards. I have been an Asus user since the mid-90's. I've used the Asus rma process just once - I bought a DOA board. I do like the build quality of Asus. Yes, Asus can be proud of their products! I don't quibble because I get the reliability I expect for the few extra dollars.
Best,
Duncan

Is there a reason you picked the Asus, Bobby?

Butting in here. I switched from AOpen to Asus four-five years ago (man time goes by quickly) and I've been very pleased with the quality and reliability of these boards as well as Asus' service level - first motherboard manufacturer I've dealt with that does an advance replacement.
