I had something like this happen after a firefox update, just the other
day. Not on xp, though.

Out of the blue with NO HW changes windows says there was and says I have to
re-activate. It does, no harm but WTF ! This particular episode was after a UPS
failure and everything shut down but turned right back on.
OS is XP Pro.
Has anyone every seen this happen ? Not really looking for a fix just wondering
if I am alone out here :-D
