Asus board looks to be best and it's cheaper than the Gigabyte.
I'm very interested in your experience installing Windows 7 (I assume it
was 7). Did you use an optical drive? Does the BIOS have one port set
aside for "Native IDE" if you set the SATA ports to AHCI? Or perhaps did
you install Windows as "Native IDE" and then use the registry hack to
enable AHCI after install. Sorry for all the questions but the fact that
optical drives don't work under AHCI (mine won't) or won't boot under AHCI
to install Windows has me somewhat concerned and I'm looking for the best
solution. What did you do? TIA

Been playing with Zacate this week. It's the real deal; if they get a
