I used to use some Iomega tape drives for back up. When they stopped producing them, they stopped support for them. Really pissed me off because I needed some support from them. Vowed to never buy an Iomega product again.

The problem is, one drive dies, and it almost NEVER puts the raid back in order (this is the IX4-200D) IN fact, it immediately declares all the drives foreign and starts demanding to reformat them. What a POS. After a data recovery that took almost a week and a half to get back 5TB, I can tell you: recovering a shitload of data from a broken RAID-5 in a non-standard (XFS) file system is a giant PITA. That's all. End of the day complaint. Businesses who rely on this thing for a backup are FOOLS.
