Monumental believer in Acronis + amazonS3.  Weekly drive snapshot and data 
backed up.  Never risk more then a week.   Drivespace is too cheap.

Format/reinstall is the only way to go especially now that SATA 3 SSD's  
are so very fast. Two of my boxes have Crucial 64 gig drives in them to  
boot and what a dramatic improvement that was! I guess it helps to be low  
profile like me too. Feel the pain of list members in business to make  
money...
