Hopefully you have now gained some in"sight" about WinXp permissions.
Note that Thane's suggestion was posted before mine (takeown.exe) and
is simpler and easier than mine.
Glad everything worked out OK.
Also, since you have wiped out all your existing System Restore
points, remember to create a new one once your scans are finished.
