[H] Ripping BDs and DVD for play everywhere-ness

I assuming that some of you here have 100s of gigs of ripped 
video....i'm wondering what format you're using and why?

I have an iPad 2, an Acer Iconia Tab, the Big HDTV, and various laptops. 
So I want my rips to work on all that.  I have about 100+ rips now, done 
in Handrake in the m4v container. These are H.264...most are 720p but I 
have some 1080p too, data rate of 2200 kbps.  I also have Google TV 
(Logitech Revue) that I'm using to stream downstairs.  It's a bit iffy 
sometimes but it saw a 1080p rip of Starman on my PC and played it fine 
downstairs.  With the update to HC 3.1 coming this summer, I'm hoping it 
will improve. If not, I'll be looking for another solution.
